New proposed rules for driver's license agents and deputy registrars
Have your voice heard. Comment on proposed new rules on driver’s license agents and deputy registrars starting today, Aug. 17, until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. The rules are in response to 2024 legislation requiring the department to establish a competitive-bidding process for appointing a replacement driver’s license agent or deputy registrar if either wants to continue offering licensing and vehicle services at a closed office location. The rules also make other changes to streamline various requirements and to remove obsolete language.
