BCA fingerprinting services available by appointment only

If you wish to schedule an appointment for fingerprinting services at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), you can do so either online or by phone.

What to bring to the appointment

When you come to the BCA to be printed, be sure to bring the following items:

Identification: Bring a valid government-issued photo identification. Here are some examples:
- State-issued driver's license
- State-issued identification
- Passport
- U.S. active duty, retiree or reservist military identification card
If your ID is expired, remember to bring your renewal slip or you will not be able to get fingerprinted.
Fee: The fee is $10 per fingerprint card. You can pay by cash, personal check, money order/cashier check or credit card (credit card service fees apply).
Documents: If you were provided background check documents, please bring them to your appointment.

The BCA provides official fingerprint cards approved by the FBI (also called FD-258 cards) or, if provided by your employer, you can bring your own card.

Once you are fingerprinted, you will receive a copy of your fingerprint card. The BCA does not provide or submit electronic versions of fingerprint cards.
